The Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition is a modern Single Malt Whisky with character - elegant, complex and with a surprising edge. This special bottling from Glenmorangie was created in collaboration with Harrison Ford and combines the classic distillery style with new, exciting influences. A combination of classic bourbon casks and toasted Portuguese red wine casks are used for maturation. This special choice of cask provides additional depth and a complex interplay of flavours: the Bourbon casks bring the typical vanilla and caramel notes, while the toasted red wine casks add fruity, slightly spicy accents and a distinctive structure. Although the whisky is bottled without an age statement, there is significantly more maturity here than you would initially expect. At a strong 46.5 % vol. without chill filtration, the full flavour is retained and ensures an authentic taste experience. Visually, the colour is reminiscent of the warm orange of a sunset and immediately whets the appetite for the first dram. The nose reveals lively, zesty citrus notes reminiscent of orange marmalade, accompanied by floral nuances such as honeysuckle and jasmine as well as a subtle hint of beeswax. With a few drops of water, additional flavours of peach blossom and creamy vanilla open up. Strong citrus notes of bitter orange, lemon and grapefruit meet sweeter nuances such as apricot, brown cane sugar and caramel are joined by subtle notes of baked bread and a light, almost menthol-like kick of freshness in the background. What makes this whisky special is the successful combination of classic elegance and modern expressiveness - in the spirit of Harrison Ford. A stylish Single Malt that is confident and unexpectedly intense.

Glenmorangie ist neben Glenfiddich die wohl bekannteste Brennerei Schottlands. Sie liegt in den nördlichen Highlands, wo die (meist illegale) Alkoholproduktion auf eine lange und bewegte Geschichte seit dem Mittelalter zurückblicken kann.

Andreasop 19.06.2026Aroma: Heilige Whiskygötter! Eine Würze wie man sie von einem "normalen" Glenmorangie nicht kennt. Zuerst Rotweintannine mit Vanille und blumigen Akzenten. Danach noch Pfirsich und Zitrone (typisch).
Aromafazit. Geladen und entsichert.
Geschmack: Fruchtig, dominant und kompromisslos: Eine Käsesahnecremetorte mit Puderzucker. Grapefruit, Orange und Aprikosen liegen dabei. Über dem ganzen noch eine Karamell-Wein-Soße gekippt.
Geschmacksfazit: Getroffen und verwundet.
Abgang: Enorm lang. Würzige Tannine, Orangen-oder Pfirsichöl mit Schokolade (hell).
Abgangsfazit: Immer wieder.
Kommentar: Der beste V.I.P.-Whisky bislang! Die Zusammenarbeit mit Harrison Ford und Dr. Bill Lumsden trägt gut Früchte aus. Ein Spitzenprodukt. Zwar ohne Altersangabe, aber das Verkostungsfeeling ist granatenmäßig gut. -
