This North British matured for 29 years was bottled by independent bottler James Eadie for The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland collection. The series is inspired by old photographs, meticulously documented details of distilleries and flavour notes, which the descendant of the legendary former brewery and pub owner has now compiled in a book and in special bottlings. From 1922 to 1929, James Eadie and his team visited, scrutinised and photographed a total of 124 distilleries, all of which have now been documented in a book by Rupert Patrick. He is the nephew of the great-grandson Alastair Eadie. Using photographs from this book, each whisky was carefully selected for its distillery character and flavour profile and bottled at cask strength after different years of maturation without the addition of colour or chill-filtering. The time-honoured North British Single Grain matured in refill hogsheads and impresses with accents of pudding-dipped light fruits.

Maximilianop 14.10.2025Aroma: Hellfruchtig, etwas Vanille, etwas Alkohol in der Nase.
Geschmack: Zum Antritt etwas alkoholisch, nicht gut eingebunden, die Nase setzt sich hier geradlinig fort. Ein Hauch Karamell.
Abgang: Recht kurz, etwas Bitterkeit.
Kommentar: Joa, nichts Besonderes, die 29 Jahre merkt man ihm leider nicht an. -
Herstellerbeschreibungop 07.10.2025Aroma: Crème Brulée, Cappuccino, Vanilleschoten, Vanillesoße und Tonkabohnen.
Geschmack: Erneute Anklänge von Crème brûlée und Cappuccino, die sich mit Akzenten von goldenem Sirup, Erdbeeren, grünem Apfel und grünem Kardamom verbinden.
Abgang: Lang und wärmend mit Facetten von Orangenschale, Nelke und Honig.
