Arran Local Barley 10 Years 2025

This limited edition 10 year old Arran Single Malt was distilled from malted barley grown on the Currie family's Bellevue Farm on the island. The Arran whisky matured in a carefully selected blend of first-fill bourbon casks and second-fill sherry hogsheads, in very similar proportions to the classic 10-year-old Arran. A new batch of Arran Barley Edition is released each year, with the taste and character varying slightly depending on the harvest, cask type and quantities available. Every drop of Arran Single Malt begins its journey as rainwater that collects in Loch na Davie in the picturesque hills above the distillery. The clear water flows down the slopes, passing six inconspicuous waterfalls that further purify the water naturally. The name of the stream, Easan Biorach, means "sharp waterfalls" in Gaelic. The Single Malt, which is neither coloured nor chill-filtered, has a fresh citrus aroma with beautifully integrated herbal notes. The taste is characterised by creamy vanilla and flashes of fruit with a pleasantly dry finish and lingering ginger and aniseed notes.
