Variety Single Malt Whisky
Aroma Sweet and oily after stewed plums with a little balsamic vinegar, red berries and cooked nectarines. A hint of cherry liqueur, cream sweets, caramel, rose petals, cinnamon and oak tannins.
Taste Sweet sherry character with sultanas, prunes and caramelised figs. With sweet grapes, rich dark chocolate, oranges and caramelised sweets.
Finish Long-lasting, sweet and intense with notes of oranges, chestnuts and sultanas.

    Der Auchentoshan profitiert sehr von den guten Sherryfässern und den untypischen 49,7% Alkoholgehalt.
    Der Preis ist zwar sehr hoch aber die Leistung dafür auch immens.
    Kann diesen Whisky nur empfehlen (gibt es hier im Shop auch in der 0,04l Flasche zum Probieren).

    Kommentar: Klare 4,5 Sterne, mehr leider nicht da das PLV meiner Meinung doch nicht ganz passt ;) Sonst ein sehr schöner süßer cherrylastigerSherry Whisky mit einem langen Abgang.

    Aroma: Süß und ölig nach Pflaumenkompott mit etwas Balsamico, roten Beeren und eingekochten Nektarinen. Ein Hauch Kirschlikör, Sahnebonbons, Karamell, Rosenblätter, Zimt sowie Eiche und Tannine.
    Geschmack: Süßer Sherry-Charakter mit Rosinen, Pflaumen und karamellisierten Feigen. Dazu süße Trauben, reichhaltige dunkle Schokolade, Orangen und Karamellbonbons.  
    Abgang: Langanhaltend, süß und intensiv mit Noten von Orangen, Kastanien und Sultaninen.
