Basil Hayden's is one of the Jim Beam Small Batch Bourbon whiskies for which only high-quality barrels are selected. The master distiller of the same name, Basil Hayden, distilled his first Bourbon back in 1796. This was not common at the time. He added rye to the traditional corn mash. The first Basil Hayden's was born. A higher than normal proportion of rye is still used for this Bourbon.

    Kommentar: Rundum sehr gelungener Bourbon, einziges Manko: 40 % werden dem Whiskey nicht gerecht, da dieser Premium verspricht und preislich auch höher greift; zwischen 43 % und 50 % würden dem Whiskey gut stehen. Geschmacklich aber sehr zu empfehlen.
