The Benromach Contrasts: Côte-Rôtie Wine Cask Finish is a 12-year-old Single Malt from Speyside, which was initially matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then finished for 26 months in wine casks from the French appellation of Côte-Rôtie. This renowned wine region on the right bank of the Rhône, south of Lyon, is one of the oldest and most prestigious in France. Thanks to this exceptional combination of casks, this limited-edition bottling blends delicate smokiness with sweet bourbon notes and the fruity, spicy influences of the Côte-Rôtie wine casks. The result is aromas of warm spices, summer berries, black pepper and orange peel, accompanied by a long-lasting, subtly smoky finish.
