Aroma: Sehr frisch und angenehm hell. Keine Spur von Rauch – typisch Bruichladdich.
Ich bekomme direkt Zitrusfrüchte, grüne Birne, ein bisschen Honig und etwas Vanilleschote.
Dazu ein leichter Hauch von Meeresluft, aber eher subtil – wie ein Spaziergang am Strand, ohne dass man direkt nass wird.

Geschmack: Die malzige Süße ist deutlich spürbar, begleitet von Zitrone, grünem Apfel und einem Hauch Melone.
Das Fass bringt eine schöne Vanillenote und etwas helle Eiche, ohne bitter zu werden.
Insgesamt wirkt alles sehr sauber, elegant und rund, fast schon überraschend leicht für einen Islay-Whisky.

Abgang: Mittellang, angenehm warm.
Die Frische bleibt, zusammen mit einem leichten Prickeln von der Eiche.
Ein dezenter Nachgeschmack von süßem Malz und einem Hauch Salz

Kommentar: Ein freundlicher, moderner Islay-Whisky, der zeigt, dass die Insel mehr kann als Rauch.
Sehr zugänglich, dabei aber qualitativ hochwertig und mit genug Tiefe, um auch erfahrene Trinker zu beschäftig
