The silky smooth Bushmills Madeira Finish was made from non-smoking malt. It matured for 19 years in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. The post-maturation for two years in old Madeira casks leads to a complex aroma with grapes, honey, dark chocolate and rare spices.

The Old Bushmills Distillery is probably the oldest licensed Whiskey distillery in the world - its licence dates back to 1608. It was officially founded in 1784 by Hugh Anderson in the Northern Irish town of Bushmills. Since then, Bushmills has been synonymous with traditionally triple-distilled, mild Irish Whiskey.     Kommentar: In der Nase recht leicht, deutliche süße von Karamell und Schokolade mit etwas Frucht. Im Geschmack ebenfalls leichter und ausgewogen, wobei man das Alter schon wahrnimmt, süße und getrocknete Früchte mit einer Würze die ich am ehesten mit Nelke beschreiben würde. Im Abgang der eher kurz ist kann man die Eiche und den Gewürzen nachschmecken.
    Insgesamt wohl auch aufgrund der 40% aber etwas flach leider.
