Bodegas Williams & Humbert was founded in 1877 and is now owned by the second generation of the Medina family. The bodega is the largest in Europe and is home to over 50,000 American oak barrels for maturing sherry, brandy and rum. For the Dos Maderas 5+5 Triple Aged PX Rum, selected rums from Barbados and Guyana mature for 5 years in American oak barrels in the Caribbean. Afterwards, the Blend is transported to Jerez in Andalusia to be stored for another 3 years in high-quality Palo Cortado barrels according to the Solera method. In the last phase, the rum is then stored for another 2 years using the solera method in barrels that were filled with "Don Guido" - a 20-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry (V.O.S.).
