Product description
The 35-year-old and venerable Edradour Single Malt Whisky is one of the oldest bottlings of the distillery, which has been owned by Signatory founder and whisky entrepreneur Andrew Symington since 2002. Symington and his team attach great importance to producing whisky in its most original form and rely on distillation in small copper Pot Still stills, hand-selected casks and great attention to detail. The Enigma 2 has been matured in just one of two sherry butts available in the Ibisco Decanter range. The Enigma 2 whisky rarity rested the entire maturation period in the dry Edradour concrete warehouse, which resulted in a significantly higher loss of liquid but a higher alcohol content. Bottled in the massive yet elegant glass decanter, the shape of which is also familiar from exclusive Signatory bottlings, the premium single malt is given a luxurious form, which is also presented in an elegant wooden box with two tumblers. The name Ibisco was chosen because the decanter is reminiscent of the shape of a hibiscus flower. No colouring, no chill-filtering and at cask strength: the Edradour Ibisco Decanter Enigma 1 is the pinnacle of precise sherry cask maturation.

The Distillery: Edradour
The Edradour distillery is one of Scotland's most traditional Whisky distilleries and was once the smallest in the country. It is idyllically situated on the River Edradour, surrounded by hills east of Pitlochry. Exceptional Highland Single Malt Whiskies are produced here using traditional methods that are hardly practised in any other distillery.
