Gardiners still makes its toffees according to an old family recipe. The caramel is refined with a dash of Glenfarclas and goes wonderfully with a cup of coffee.

Die Glenfarclas Brennerei wurde 1836 von Robert Hay gegründet und ist eine der bekanntesten und erfolgreichsten familiengeführten Brennereien in Schottland. Die Eigentümerfamilie Grant ist stolz auf ihren privaten Status, was sich im Brennereislogan „The Spirit of Independence“ (Der Geist der Unabhängigkeit) widerspiegelt. Seit 1865 bestimmt die Familie Grant in der fünften Generation die Geschichte der Glenfarclas Brennerei.
