Product description
This Glen Scotia Malt was finished in sherry casks for one year after being matured in American oak casks. The town of Campbeltown was once home to more than 30 distilleries. In the meantime, the number has shrunk to just 3, including Glen Scotia. Now the 18-year-old Single Malt also has a new design.

    Aroma: Ganz leicht rauchig (4 bis 6 PPM). Helle Früchte (Äpfel, Ananas, Orange) und etwas maritim (salzige Seeluft).

    Geschmack: Maritim, weich und delikat: Frische Würze mit Orange, Zitronen, hellem Karamell und wieder dieses salzige Algenwasser (ein anderer Name dafür viel mir nicht ein!).

    Abgang: Lang. Viel Oragenzeste, Seewasser und Vanille.

    Kommentar: Spannender 18-Jähriger! Bei Preis/Leistung ist er gut dabei. Im Hinblick auf andere Whiskies in der Altersklasse ist er im oberen Mittelfeld ein zu sortieren (meiner Meinung nach!)! Gibt leider viel Komplexere. Trotzdem, einmal schön den typischen Campbeltown-Stil kennen lernen zu dürfen!
