Product description
This Glen Scotia bottling matured entirely in a first fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead, giving the Campbeltown malt fascinating sultana notes, accents of citrus fruits and sweet and sticky dates soaked in Manuka honey. The finish is infused with baking spices and lingering oak notes, making this a very delicate and elegant Single Malt Whisky. The unpeated distillate also ensures balance and slightly maritime facets.
Behind The Blue Doors of Campbeltown
The new single cask series from the Glen Scotia distillery offers a rare insight into the traditional Victorian style of the Campbeltown distillery. Behind the characteristic blue doors of the Dunnage Warehouses, selected single cask bottlings have been discovered that bear the special signature of Master Distiller Iain McAlister. The Classic Series, the first collection in this range, combines exceptional cask maturations and extremely limited stocks of smoky whisky. As Glen Scotia only produces peated spirit for one month a year, the peated editions are among the rarest bottlings of the house. Five individual casks were selected for the Classic Series No. 1, including three peated variants, which impressively reflect the character of these rare stocks. The high-quality finish of the series emphasises the claim to provide a particularly exclusive insight into the hidden treasures of the traditional Campbeltown distillery.

Aroma: Saftige Rosinen und Sultanine harmonieren perfekt mit im Ofen gebackenen roten Äpfeln, die im Anschluss mit Zimt bestäubt wurden.

Geschmack: Kandierte Zitrusschalen und klebrige Datteln, gefolgt von reichhaltigem Manuka-Honig und anhaltenden Eichengewürzen mit feiner Mineralität.
