In the course of the design change of the 18-year-old Glenlivet, the alcohol strength was also reduced from 43% vol. to 40% vol. to bring it in line with the other quality. The Single Malt matures predominantly in American white oak casks.

    Kommentar: War lange Zeit mein absoluter Lieblingswhisky. Der Preis war für einen 18 jährigen Scotch angemessen. Vor einen paar Jahren gab es eine Anpassung im Design der Glenlivet-Flaschen. In dem Zuge wurde aber auch der Whisky verändert. Der alte Glenlivet 18 Jahre hatte 43 vol %. Das hat mir persönlich besser gefallen. Dennoch ist der Whisky sehr zu empfehlen.
