Product description
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban (Gaelic ruby red) is part of the distillery's Extra Matured range. In 2019, the range was reorganised: Glenmorangie extended the storage time for the Single Malt. This 14-year-old Single Malt was initially matured for at least ten years in bourbon casks before being matured in selected port casks. Both the choice of cask and the single malt process remain unchanged, so that the aromatic character that characterises Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is retained.
The bottling comes in a new dark green colour.

Kommentar: Wirklich ein feiner Tropfen. Das Portwein Finish rundet den Glenmorangie mit einer dunklen, weichen Süße ab. Für den Preis wirklich toll!

Kommentar: Naja, ein absoluter Klassiker! Für mich war es der erste Portwein-gereifter und ich war geflasht - auch Jahre später ist er stets im Barfach. Perfekt eingebundene 46% - geiler, langer Abgang. Viel Frucht, angenehme Eiche und schön samtig.

Aroma: Kirsche, nach einigen Minuten Rote Grütze, saftig, süße und säuerliche Noten, zunächst Weintrauben, dann etwas Kakao und Schokolade, leichte Gewürznote, etwas Orange.

Geschmack: Weich und voll, seidig, leichte Schokoladennote, etwas Cassis und rote Früchte, Portwein und Orange.

Abgang: Gewürze, eine leichte herbe Note, Eiche, saftige Früchte, Orangenzeste, ein Hauch Minze, sehr ausgewogen

Kommentar: Fassbombe vom Portwein: saftig-weicher und delikater Genießerwhisky. Ein paar Minuten im Glas machen ihn noch runder.
Sehr gutes PLV - ein schöner Schluck für die kalte Jahreszeit.
