Aroma Sweet with vanilla, white chocolate and marshmallows. Fruity with red apples, ripe pears, pomegranates, cranberries, cherries and oak.
Taste Mouth-filling, dry and spicy with lemon zest, ripe fruit and red berries. A hint of marzipan and toasted oak.
Finish Long, spicy and dry.
Maturation Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, finish in Californian Zinfandel wine casks.

Green Spot Château Montelena is classically triple distilled and aged in oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. This special bottling was then finished in Zinfandel wine casks. The barrels used come from Chateau Montelena, a winery in Napa Valley, California.

Viele Früchte, beeindruckend voll und würzig mit viel Tiefe
Geschmack:
Man schmeckt das Weinfass, ansonsten ein milder, weicher Geschmack im Mund, Frucht und Würzigkeit
Abgang:
langanhaltend, aber etwas trocken, es bleibt Würzigkeit und Fruchtsüße
Kommentar:
wenn man Weinfinish-Whiskeys mit irischer Weichheit mag, ist man hier richtig.

Aroma: Eher helle Früchte in der Nase, diese sind aber relativ reif; und süsslich, also eine süsse, reife Birne; zudem heller Honig; und die Weisswein-Trauben kommen auch leicht durch.

Geschmack: Sehr prickelnd auf der Zunge beginnend, dann wieder Honig, cremig, und dann etwas exotische Früchte und ein Gefühl an halb vergorenen Trauben, und eine sehr dezente Würze.

Abgang: Im mittellangen Abgang bleibt eine angenehme Würze zurück.

Kommentar: Toller, vielseitiger Whisky.
