Product description
This rum, distilled from the finest molasses from the family estate on Pot Still stills, matured for the first four years on the island in former bourbon barrels. It was then transferred to second-fill rum barrels and shipped to Scotland for a further seven years to allow the Jamaican rum to mature in peace. Instead of the intense flavours of overripe fruit found in well-known "high-ester" rums, this rum takes a more complex approach. The traditional double-retort method continues to contribute to its clear and precise, yet profound flavour, which presents itself with hints of banana bread with orange and spices.
The Rum Trail
The Rum Trail series by Sukhinder Singh offers a special selection of delicious rums from around the world that showcase the diversity of rum in an impressive and multi-faceted way. This series explores the geographical diversity, expression of terroir and distinctive characteristics of rum from the Caribbean, Fiji and Australia. Sukhinder Singh is the owner of Elixir Distillers in addition to his work for the independent bottler The Whisky Exchange, which he founded. He is recognised as one of the world's most experienced collectors of fine spirits and is known for generously sharing his knowledge and bottles. He has been exploring established and new distilleries for many years. He is in close contact with a wide-ranging community of experts and, with The Elixir Trails series, is now presenting whiskies and spirits that he would personally recommend to his friends.     Aroma: Der Duft erinnert an einen kochenden Topf, in dem mit Nelken gespickte Blutorangen, Rhabarber und gebackene Banane köcheln.

    Geschmack: Vollmundig und wärmend mit Bitterorange und Mandelblättchen. Kardamom und Piment mit Sultaninen gesellen sich zu Anklängen von Bananenbrotteig.

    Abgang: Herrlich florale Noten mit ausgewogenen Akzenten von Orangenblüten und Geißblatt.
