Aroma: Weich und elegant – Vanille, Honig, etwas Nuss und ein Hauch Eiche.

Geschmack: Sanft und rund, mit Malz, Toffee, getrockneten Früchten und milder Würze.

Abgang: Mittellang, cremig und leicht süß.

Kommentar: Ein Gentleman unter den Iren – gepflegt, ausgewogen, aber etwas brav. Lecker, keine Frage, doch ein bisschen mehr Charakter dürfte er zeigen.

Aroma: Der hat zuerst eine sehr erfrischende Fruchtigkeit von hellen Früchten in der Nase, danach aber zeigt sich das Alter mit einer gewissen eher schweren getreidigen Note; dann kommen durchaus auch Trockenfrüchte zu Tage.

Geschmack: Im Mund dann beginnt er zuerst mal recht leicht und fruchtig und dann merkt man, dass er richtig süss ist; dann cremiger werdend, und nach einer gewissen Zeit erst entwickelt sich auch im Mund das Alter, dann wird er ein kleines bisschen schwerer, und ganz leicht würzig.

Abgang: Durch seine Leichtigkeit hat er gar keinen so langen Abgang.

Kommentar: Unheimlich leicht für das Alter, und extrem süffig.

Man muss Jameson mögen (für mich oft die beste Alternative in Kneipen ohne echte Whisk(e)y Auswahl) und bekommt hier das gereifte 46% Erlebnis. Vermutlich genauso 70% Grain (in diesem Fall Mais). Wer den "echten" Stoff will, sollte den "Single Pot Still" probieren, der ist der wahre Hammer.
