Taste Warming, sweet and smoky with spicy notes. Dry towards the end with more smoke.

For the 200th anniversary of the distillery, the 8-year-old Lagavulin was bottled for the first time. After the great response, Diageo decided to bottle the whisky regularly at the end of 2017.

Die schottische Malt Whisky Brennerei Lagavulin liegt auf der Südseite der Insel Islay, zwischen den Destillerien Laphroaig und Ardbeg. Lagavulin, ausgesprochen Lagga-voulin, kommt aus dem Gälischen und bedeutet in etwa: 'Senke, in der die Mühle steht'. Die 1816 von John Johnston gegründete Lagavulin Destillerie ist im Besitz des Konzerns Diageo und die Whiskys gehören zu dessen Classic Malts Selection. read more

    Kommentar: Guter Islay Whisky. Eine ganz spezielle "Gewürznote" begleitet den Rauch mit dem Geschmack von Küste. Dazu eine leichte Süße mit fruchtiger Birne. Kohle bleibt noch lange im Mund zurück. Lecker.
