Product description
Laphroaig Lore stands for the transmission of knowledge and tradition. The Johnston brothers laid the foundations for the Lore recipe back in 1800. Since then, the whisky has been further developed by several Laphroaig distillery managers and master distillers. Lore combines this knowledge and the history of Laphroaig. For the most part, 7 to 21-year-old casks were used for the Single Malt. A small proportion of younger malts were also used.

Laphroaig (pronounced 'La-froig') means 'the beautiful hollow by a broad bay' in Gaelic. The area around the distillery, which is located on the remote island of Islay (pronounced 'Ei-la') off the west coast of Scotland, is just as beautiful. Laphroaig Whiskies are considered the most smoky-intense malt Whiskies from Scotland. read more

    Abgang: Peat Smoke Oak Malt Citrus

    Kommentar: Typischer Laphroaig Rauch, erinnert an geräucherte Mullbinden. Der Sherry Einfluss ist wie zu erwarten deutlich geringer als beim Sherry Oak (mein Favorit aus dem Hause Laphroaig), aber die maritimen Noten und die 48% Alkoholgehalt stehen diesem Whisky sehr gut. Würde ich mir jederzeit wieder kaufen.

    Kommentar: fein, vielschichtig und schöner Rauch von vorne bis hinten. Ein echt schöner Tropfen zum Geniessen. Bei jedem Schluck gibt es was Neues zu entdecken. Fein abgestimmt, die 48% kann er gut vertragen. Für mich trotzdem etwas teuer.
