	Aroma	Gentle and playful with hints of kumquat jam and lemon tea, with sweet and dense flavours reminiscent of honey, leather and minerals that complement each other harmoniously.
	Taste	Gentle, fruity and smooth, with a subtle sea breeze and rounded cereal notes that present themselves towards the finish.
	Finish	Earthy with some sherry spice, overlaid with a pleasant cereal sweetness that lingers a little in the mouth.

Product description

This Mars Blended Malt is a Japanese whisky that was produced for the Y.A. series. All three of the company's locations come together in the series, as Single Malts from the Komagatake and Tsunuki distilleries are carefully combined and then matured in cask storage on the island of Yakushima (Y.A. = Yakushima Aging). The UNESCO World Heritage Site is exposed to rainfall and temperature fluctuations, allowing the Blended Malt whiskies to undergo an accelerated maturation process that allows for deep complexity and vibrant character. Mars The Y.A. #3 was matured in oak casks and bottled at a full-bodied 51% vol. without chill-filtering or colouring.

Die Shinshu Mars Brennerei wurde 1985 von der Hombo Shuzo Co. Ltd. gegründet. Das Unternehmen konnte dabei auf eine längere Erfahrung im Whiskybrennen zurückblicken, denn es bekam seine erste Lizenz dafür bereits 1949 in Kagoshima ganz im Süden Japans. read more

Aroma: Sanft und spielerisch mit Anklängen von Kumquatkonfitüre und Zitronentee, dazu süße und dichte Aromen, die an Honig, Leder und Mineralien erinnern und sich harmonisch ergänzen.

Geschmack: Sanft, fruchtig und geschmeidig, mit einer dezenten Meeresbrise und abgerundeten Getreidenoten, die sich zum Abgang hin präsentieren.

Abgang: Erdig mit etwas Sherry-Würze, darüber legt sich eine angenehme Getreidesüße, die noch ein wenig im Mund verweilt.
