Variety Single Malt Whisky
Aroma Behavioural and dry smoky with notes of leather, plum and redcurrant, then hints of cinnamon, green apple, pepper and pipe tobacco.
Taste Dry and spicy of toasted oak and coffee before a sweetness of fruitcake and dried fruit comes through
Finish Glowing charcoal and earthy smoke with sea salt.

Product description
The Octomore 14.2 is made from 100% Concerto barley from the Scottish mainland and matured in a mix of sherry and wine casks from the best wine-growing regions of Spain and Italy. The heavily peated malt harmonises well with the sherry casks and gives the bottling a powerful smoke content of 128.9 ppm. Without cold filtration and without colouring, the Single Malt was bottled at 57.7% vol.

Aroma: Intensiv und komplex – dichter Rauch, dunkle Früchte, etwas Vanille. Der Sherry- und Weinfasseinfluss ist deutlich, aber schön eingebunden.

Geschmack: Enorm kraftvoll, aber erstaunlich ausgewogen. Torf, rote Früchte, Eiche und dunkle Schokolade. Trotz der 5 Jahre wirkt er reif und erstaunlich rund.

Abgang: Sehr lang, warm und trocken, mit Rauch, Kakao und einer Spur Süße.

Kommentar: Typisch Octomore – massiv, aber mit Stil. Für 5 Jahre beeindruckend komplex.
