Product description
The Old Forester 100 Proof is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey made according to the original recipe of George Garvin Brown. George Garvin Brown is the founder of Old Forester and a pioneer of bottled whiskeys in the 19th century. This Bourbon is distilled in Louisville, Kentucky, from a corn, rye and malted barley mash and matured in new, burnt oak barrels. Bottled at 50% vol (100 proof), it has a strong and full-bodied profile, with caramel, vanilla, browned oak and a spicy rye structure. The higher alcohol content provides depth and presence without losing balance. A classic Bourbon with history and character that is also ideal for classic whiskey cocktails such as an Old Fashioned.

    Aroma: Intensiv nach Vanille, leichte Fruchtnoten (Apfel/Apfelsinen) und eichige Würze. Wenig Alkohol zu spüren an der Nase.

    Geschmack: Glatt und Weich. Umspüllt den Gaumen mit Vanillepudding/fruchtiger gerösteter Eichenwürze.

    Abgang: Vielschichtig mit Vollmilch-, Mokka- und Karamellnoten.

    Kommentar: Kompakter, rassiger im Geschmack als der Old Forester 86 Proof. Wasser braucht er nicht (glaubt mir!). Wenn ich mich zwischen einem von den beiden Forester entscheiden müsste, würde ich diesen hier bevorzugen!

    Geschmack: Reife Äpfel und weitere süße Früchte, Backgewürze wie Nelken und Muskatnuss sowie getoastete Eiche.
    Abgang: Leicht und süß mit Eiche und Apfel.
