Aroma Intense with a mixture of cherry jam, liquid caramel, dark chocolate, thickened maple syrup and spicy oak spice.
Taste Dark caramel coats layers of malt and nuts with sweet accents of graham cracker, all warmed by green peppercorns and coriander spice, brightened with a hint of cedar.
Finish Tart apples give way to a long, smoky finish full of toasted marshmallows, chocolate and the sweetness of graham crackers.

Product description
The Old Forester is the only Kentucky Straight Bourbon that was continuously distilled by the founding family before, during and after Prohibition. The 1920 Old Forester bottling is a tribute to the time during Prohibition. During this time, master distiller Owsley Brown was granted a limited licence to bottle the whiskey for medicinal purposes. At the time, 115 proof was the standard alcohol content at which this bourbon was also bottled.

    Kommentar: Ein wunderbarer, tiefer und solider Whiskey. Der braucht Zeit, und das in jeglicher Hinsicht. Aroma, Geschmack und Abgang sind sehr komplex, aber nie überfordernd. Einem Anfänger würde ich den zwar nicht empfehlen, aber Bourbon Liebhabern auf jeden Fall. Das Wechselspiel zwischen Tiefe, Wärmenden Noten und der Eiche sind grandios. Hoffentlich länger im Angebot. Glatte 4 Sterne
