Product description
Old Potrero consists of 100% malted rye and is distilled on Pot Stills. According to the producer Anchor Distilling, this recipe is the original approach to American whiskey. The company was founded in 1993 by Fritz Maytag, a time when there were no legally Pot Still distilled whiskeys in the USA. Inspired by the production of Scotch whisky, Maytag began developing Old Potrero. The whiskey matures, as was customary in the 18th century, in fresh oak barrels that were not burnt out and only lightly toasted.
