Aroma Floral with light oak notes as well as sweet and fruity with vanilla, sultanas, toffee, apples and citrus fruits.
Taste Soft and delicate with honey and fruit. Rounded off with notes of vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish Soft on the palate. Honey and vanilla notes that merge into malt.

In the Icons of Wales series, important people or events of the region are honoured. The eighth bottling is patriotic and stands for the Welsh word 'Hiraeth', which means longing for one's homeland and origins. The bottle design is based on the original bottles from the 19th century.

The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It works with a very special distilling process in a so-called Faraday Still, which has been custom-made for Penderyn. In addition to the 'original' distillery, another Penderyn distillery opened on the northern coast of Wales at Lloyd Street in Llandudno in 2021. read more

Aroma: Sehr fruchtig nach Bratapfel, Vanille und süßem Gebäck Fruit Apple Oak Vanilla Cinnamon

Geschmack: Ebenfalls fruchtig nach Apfel und Zitrus, dazu eine feine Vanille und Zimtnote mit leichter Würze. Insgesamt schön fruchtig und auch relativ komplex.

Aroma: ein Hauch von Frucht und Süße, winzig wenig Holz, dann trotz nur 46% dominant medizinischer Alkohol

Geschmack: Ein Hauch Pfirsich, Birne, dann wird´s medizinisch, alkoholisch

Abgang: ein Hauch Holz und ein Hauch Süße, leider ohne Volumen. Ein Hauch von Rauch...

Kommentar: Nach einigen Versuchen mich rein zu schmecken habe ich aufgegeben. Die Ansätze sind da. Schade, ein Hauch Furcht und Süße ist riechbar, aber der Alkohol überdeckt alles. 46%? Leider ist da auch nicht mehr viel mit verdünnen, der Alkohol bleibt geschmacklich im Vordergrund und das bisschen Geruch/ Geschmack schwindet noch mehr. Weg damit, das Leben ist zu kurz...
