Product description
Penderyn Myth was the distillery's first standard bottling. The Myth Fruit & Sweet matured in bourbon casks and was finished in red wine casks. Whisky was produced in Wales until the 19th century, when the distilleries closed. It was not until the end of the 1990s that the old tradition was revived with the founding of Penderyn. The label is adorned with a dragon's head (similar to the Welsh flag). As early as the 5th century, the armies of the kings of Wales carried the dragon as a symbol on their standards and banners, which were intended to instil respect in the enemy. This sweet and fruity blended whiskey has a less aggressive but more balanced flavour.

The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It works with a very special distilling process in a so-called Faraday Still, which has been custom-made for Penderyn. In addition to the 'original' distillery, another Penderyn distillery opened on the northern coast of Wales at Lloyd Street in Llandudno in 2021. read more

Geschmack: delivers a fruit-driven and somewhat sweet profile, dominant fruit flavours likes apples, tropical fruits and pear drops

Abgang: the finish tends to fruity and fairly light notes of cake-like or desert fruit linger

Kommentar: light, fruity and fresh, easy to sip neat or with little water. Great for new whisky drinkers or who prefer fruitier, more accessible style
