The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It works with a very special distilling process in a so-called Faraday Still, which has been custom-made for Penderyn. In addition to the 'original' distillery, another Penderyn distillery opened on the northern coast of Wales at Lloyd Street in Llandudno in 2021. read more

    80/100 Durch einen bitteren Geschmacksanteil kein süffiger Whisky, jedoch hat er dadurch auch seinen Wiedererkennungswert.
    Aroma: Trockenfrüchte (Apfel, Pflaume, Kirsche), leichte Acetonnote
    Geschmack: bitter-süß-fruchtig (Birne, Pflaume), Eichenwürze
    Abgang: bitter-würzig-süß-fruchtig, mit Betonung auf der bitteren Würze; bezüglich des Finishs wird die Zugabe von Wasser favorisiert, der gewöhnungsbedürftige, bittere Geschmacksanteil persistiert jedoch
