Aroma Red berries, strawberries and cream combine with a hint of cranberries, light oak and vanilla. Notes of nutmeg and cinnamon spice follow.
Taste Rich sweet aromas of dried fruit, salted caramel, floral honey and a spicy kick of black pepper with a tannic dryness.
Finish Sweetness that transitions into a dry, fruity finish.

Product description
In the Icons of Wales series, important people or events of the region are honoured. The ninth bottling is dedicated to the Welsh Prime Minister David Lloyd George (1863-1945). The social reformer unwittingly founded the premium whisky industry and became a symbol of Wales' national revival. He made more headlines than any other statesman of the 20th century and so the design of the outer packaging is also like a newspaper article. The Single Malt was matured in Jamaican Rum and Ruby Port Casks.

The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It works with a very special distilling process in a so-called Faraday Still, which has been custom-made for Penderyn. In addition to the 'original' distillery, another Penderyn distillery opened on the northern coast of Wales at Lloyd Street in Llandudno in 2021. read more

    Ein wunderschön fruchtiger, eleganter Whisky, der zeigt, wie gut Penderyn seine Fassreifungen im Griff hat.
    Er ist zugänglich, weich und trotzdem charaktervoll – ideal für alle, die fruchtige, süß-würzige Malts mögen.
    Kein schwerer Brocken, sondern eher ein genussvoller, entspannter Dram, der dennoch genug Komplexität besitzt, um erfahrene Trinker zu begeistern.

    Geschmack: Reichhaltige süße Aromen von getrockneten Früchten, gesalzenem Karamell, floralem Honig und einem würzigen Kick von schwarzem Pfeffer mit einer Tannin-Trockenheit.

    Abgang: Süße, die in einen trockenen, fruchtigen Abgang übergeht.
