Product description
Penny Blue VSOP (very superior old pale) is the first VSOP release from Medine Distillery. Doug McIvor from independent bottler Berry Bros & Rudd and Jean-Francois Koenig, Master Distiller at Medine Distillery, created this rum together. It is made from high-quality sugar cane that is grown and bred on the distillery's own plantation and processed into molasses after the harvest. After distillation, the rum matures for at least 4 years in former Cognac, Bourbon and whisky barrels before it is bottled at 40% vol. without the addition of colour and without chill-filtering. The rum from the oldest distillery in Mauritius is fruity and complex.
