The Rittenhouse Rye 100 Proof has won many fans in recent years. It lost popularity during Prohibition, but is now making a comeback.
The Rittenhouse can call itself bottled-in-bond, i.e. it comes from one distillation season, matured for at least four years in bonded warehouses and was bottled by only one Master Distiller at 50% vol.

The Heaven Hill distillery is relativity young for a big Whiskey distillery. It was founded two years after the prohibition ended. In 1935 the Old Heavenhill Springs was founded by a group of investors and the Shapira brothers. It was a great risk to invest in such a business and hard times lay ahead for the Heaven Hill distillery. read more

    Sehr angenehmer Rye (fast ohne die "Dill-Note"). Vanille und Honigsüße mit grünem Apfel. Im Geschmack zeigt er sich dann von der anderen Seite: Würzig, Pfeffer, Kräuter und das alles für eine ganze Weile!
