Aroma Notes of ripe toasted oak, roasted caramel, dry roasted nuts, marzipan and orange peel meet delicate and fruity hints.
Taste Smooth, balanced and sweet with fruity spice. Facets of dark cherries, chocolate, dates and plum follow, merging into sweet oak spices with accents of clove, vanilla and cinnamon.
Finish Light notes of dried mango, raspberry and ginger.

Product description
The Zacapa XO Rum is made from a combination of old reserve rums made from sugar cane honey. Hand-selected rums aged between 10 and 25 years that have been aged in the solera process are blended with older and younger rums as they mature in a series of casks that have previously held American whiskies, delicate sherries and fine Pedro Ximénez wines. The rum is then finished and refined in French oak barrels that previously held cognac. Ron Zacapa XO is best enjoyed neat or on ice.

    Kommentar: An und für sich ein feiner Rum. Wertige Flasche und schöne Schachtel. In Sachen Preisleistung gibt es Abzüge. Ron Zakapa 23 Systema Solera ist geschmacklich gleich auf, kostet aber deutlich weniger (nicht verwechseln mit Ron Zakappa 23 Etiquetta negra)
