Product description
The Royal Brackla distillery received its first Royal Warrant from King William IV in 1833. It was the first time a whisky was so honoured. Just five years later, the award was renewed by his niece, Queen Victoria. Regional malt and the spring water of the Cawdor Burns were also used for the 21-year-old bottling, which is typical for Royal Brackla. The liquid from the slow distillation is then aged in the finest oak casks and finished in a combination of Oloroso, Palo Cortado and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result is a high-quality and pleasant Single Malt Whisky.

    In der Nase entfalten sich Sherryfass- und Beeren-Aromen mit Süsse.

    Geschmack: Sherry Dried Fruit Almonds
    Am Gaumen wieder Sherryfass, dann Trockenfrüchte und zum Schluss etwas Mandel.

    Abgang: Almonds Dried Fruit Sherry
    Mitellang mit etwas Mandel, mehr dunkle Trockenfrüchte und Sherryfass.

    Kommentar:
    Es gibt viel zu schmecken. Dieser Malt hat viele Aromafacetten, die man alle auf einer Ebene schmeckt, sozusagen in die Breite und voluminös, aber sehr ausgewogen. Keine übereinander liegenden Schichten wie etwa beim filigraneren Linkwood 25 yo (G&M), eher wie der An Cnoc 24 yo.
    Nur 4,5 wegen PLV, meiner Ansicht nach 50 Euro zu teuer.
