Product description
At the Danish Stauning distillery, all steps from malting to bottling take place on the premises in Skjern on the Danish west coast. Likewise, the peat and herbs used to dry the barley for Stauning Smoke are mined near the distillery. After distillation in direct-fired stills, the Single Malt is matured in four types of casks: In addition to bourbon casks and fresh oak casks, rum and Madeira casks were also used.

Abgang: mittel mit Rauch und leichter Süße

Kommentar: Joh, O.K. nur der Rauch störte am Anfnag, da eher nasse Asche...

Aroma: Rauch sowohl Lagerfeuer als auch Phenolish, Getreidefeld an der Küste, Junge rauchige Eiche, helle rauchige Früchte, Eichiger werdend.

Geschmack: Getreide, schöner Rauch, würzige Vanille, leichte Fruchtigkeit im Hintergrund, im Mund sind die jungen Fässer sehr gut eingebunden.

Abgang: Rauch, Vanille, feine Eiche, mittellang

Kommentar: Für einen Europäer einfach Spitze.

Kommentar: Für den Preis nicht zu empfehlen. Für mich nicht stimmig. Da gibt es viele bessere Whiskys für weniger Geld.

Aroma: Starker Rauch, Zitrusnoten, etwas Honig

Geschmack: Rauch, starke Bitterkeit, Taback

Abgang: lang und bitter, der Taback hält länger als der Rauch

Kommentar: Einen Stern einzig für den Abgang. Die Lagerfeuerromantik wird von einem angebrannten Autoreifen überdeckt. Ein Geschenk, dass ich gerne weiterverschenke.
