Product description
The Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master's Select is a blended whisky from the renowned house of Suntory, one of Japan's oldest whisky producers. The bottling is part of the Hibiki series, which is known for its balanced and harmonious blends. The Master's Select differs from the standard version through a finer selection of casks and a slightly deeper flavour. The blended whisky consists of a combination of malt and Grain whiskies, with the malt whiskies used coming mainly from the three Suntury distilleries Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Yamazaki contributes fruity and sherry cask matured notes, Hakushu adds slightly smoky and herbal flavours, while Chita provides the soft, creamy texture as a grain whisky. Another key element of Hibiki Master's Select is the use of sherry casks (primarily Spanish oak casks with a sherry finish), which were used for the maturation of individual components. These casks give the whisky a deeper sweetness, spicy notes and a pronounced fruitiness. In addition, American white oak casks and rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks are used, the latter bringing a very subtle influence of sandalwood, coconut and smoky flavours. Japanese whisky art at the highest level with no age statement and a multi-layered character.
