Product description
The Takamaka St. Andre PTI Lakaz Rum is a combination of traditional Pot Still sugar cane rums that matured in four different barrels and column still distilled molasses rum that matured in former bourbon barrels. Lastly, an 8-year-old rum made from Bajan Foursquare molasses is added. The final result is bottled at 45.1% vol. with no added colouring or sugar and no chill filtering. Due to the lack of chill filtration, natural sediment particles may appear in the liquid of the bottles. These can be filtered out by using a simple coffee filter when pouring and are harmless to health.

The Distillery:
In 2002, the two rum-enthusiastic brothers Richard and Bernard d'Offay founded the only rum distillery Takamaka, Trois Frères Distillery
in the Seychelles. It is located on the island of Mahé and has produced Takamaka Bay Rum, which goes back to a family recipe of the grandfather.
The sugar cane is grown specifically for rum production. In addition to Rhum Agricole, Spiced Rum, traditionally called Rhum Arrangé, is produced.
