Description du produit
The base for the Dragonjuice whisky comes from an independent, undisclosed Speyside distillery. The Single Malt Whisky was matured in a delicious combination of fortified wine casks, for which whisky druid Michel Reick selected Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, Ruby port casks and Portuguese muscatel casks. The casks produced a Single Malt characterised by sweet fruity notes, surrounded by delicate hints of cream, cake and chocolate. A powerful 50.2% vol., no chill-filtering and no added colouring bring out the magic of the 10-year-old in every sip.

Aroma: süss und fruchtig

Geschmack: würziger Antritt, Pfirsich, Johannisbeere, Schokolade, Apfelkuchen

Abgang: mittellang und süss-fruchtig

Kommentar: Ganz anders als Batch 1 aber wieder ein sehr gelungener Druide, das schreit nach mehr!

Abgang: Fruit Berries Sweet Barley Dark Chocolate Spices Coffee Oak

Kommentar: Unverdünnt in der Nase zuerst Sherry- dann zunehmend Beerenaromen, allerdings auch deutliche Alkoholnoten wahrnehmbar. Ein paar Tropfen Wasser entlocken dem Whisky deutlich mehr Fruchtaromen, vor allem Beeren. Auf der Zunge zuerst fruchtig-beerig-süß, dann zunnehmend cremig, gefolgt von einer pfeffrigen Schärfe, die jedoch schnell Schokoladen- und Kuchenaromen weicht. Im Abgang immer trockener werdend mit herben Noten von dunkler Schokolade und Kaffee.

Für meinen Geschmack könnte der Alkohol besser eingebunden sein, insgesamt waren meine Erwartungen an die Abfüllung, hervorgerufen durch die Herstellerbeschreibung, wohl etwas zu hoch, zumindest bei dem aufgerufenen Preis für einen 10-Jährigen Whisky.
