Highland Single Malt Lighty Peated - Thompson Bros.

The Thompson Bros have been producing their whisky creations in the small village of Dornoch near the Scottish Highland coast since 2016. The small, private and former fire station of Dornoch Castle still serves the brothers Phil and Simon as the home of the brand and the micro-distillery. The move to the brand new buildings of their own Struie Distillery is in full swing and is scheduled to take place in 2026. As independent bottlers, the two brothers associate their name with hand-picked bottlings, including this Highland Single Malt with a slight peat smoke influence from an unknown distillery. Aged for 18 years in refill oak casks, the whisky has a mild, soft and warming peat smoke character.
