    Kommentar:Klar, ein Diageo-Marketing-Whisky, aber immerhin hat er eine vollmundige Fruchtigkeit!

    Aroma: Gleich sehr fruchtig und lieblich mit Birnen und Beeren. Ein Hauch Honig, dann wird es nussig (fast ledrig) und schließlich kommt aus den amerikanischen Fässern auch noch eine gute Portion Vanille. Mit etwas Phantasie kann ich daneben Milchschokolade ausmachen. Eine angenehme Nase, die mir echt gut gefällt. (22)
    Geschmack: Der niedrige Alkoholgehalt fühlt sich dementsprechend dünn bis etwas wässrig an. Leicht schokoladig mit geringen Honigaspekten und vom Aroma her betrachtet eine erstaunlich geringe Fruchtigkeit. Die europäische Eiche zeigt dann mit der Zeit aber doch noch eine Ingwernote und leicht bittere Tannine. (20)
    Abgang: Der fällt doch relativ kurz bis mittellang aus, wobei die Süße von Malz, Karamell und Vanille noch am ehesten festzustellen ist. Als süffig würde ich ihn dennoch nicht bezeichnen. Er bleibt zwar etwas cremig, aber nicht sonderlich komplex. (19)
    Kommentar: Wäre da nicht die wunderbare Nase, würde diese lang erwartete Standardabfüllung mich nicht gerade „vom Hocker reißen“. Mit 46 % Vol. könnte da bestimmt mehr los sein im Karton. Die alte Abfüllung in der eckigen Flasche aus den 90erJahren habe ich besser in Erinnerung. (19)

    Kommentar: Sehr guter Speyside Whisky. mann muss ihn Zeit im Glas, u. in Tagen (probieren) geben. Hat es voll verdient!
