The Tomintoul distillery is located in the famous Livet river valley. Tomintoul has special energy-saving heat exchangers. After cooling the alcohol vapours, the captured heat is returned to the mash.

    Aroma: Leicht und süßlich. Etwas Vanille, Honig und Malz, ein Hauch Apfel. Kaum Eiche, alles sehr mild.

    Geschmack: Weich, süß und ziemlich flach. Vanille, Getreide, ein bisschen Toffee – aber wenig Tiefe oder Spannung.

    Abgang: Kurz bis mittellang, leicht nussig und trocken, verfliegt schnell.

    Kommentar: Der Name passt – ein wirklich sanfter Dram. Nett zum Einstieg, aber für erfahrene Gaumen etwas langweilig. Kein Fehlkauf, aber auch nichts, was hängen bleibt.

    Aroma: In der Nase offenbart der Whisky delikate Aromen von Sommerfrüchten, gepaart mit einer leichten Malzigkeit und einem Hauch von Honigsüße.

    Geschmack: Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Tomintoul 10 Years weich und elegant. Er vereint den Geschmack von süßen Früchten, cremiger Vanille und feinen Gewürzen mit der subtilen Würze von Eiche.

    Abgang: Der Single Malt Whisky verabschiedet sich mit einem mittellangen, weichen Abgang. Nach dem Trinken hinterlässt er eine sanfte Spur von Süße und Malz, die von einem zarten Hauch von Eichenwürze begleitet wird.
