The Craigellachie 15 Year Old 100 Proof Edition #81 comes from the historic Speyside distillery Craigellachie and was bottled by Signatory Vintage for the popular 100 Proof Edition. The series features characterful Single Malts at 57.1% ABV (100 Proof according to British standards), bottled without chill filtration or added colouring. This preserves the whisky’s natural flavours and full texture. Craigellachie is known for its distinctive, robust distillery style, characterised by traditional worm tubs. These impart more body to the whisky, a slightly sulphurous complexity and a particularly robust structure. After 15 years of maturation, this bottling was finished in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts. The fruity sweetness and intense sherry aromas of the fresh PX casks provide an exciting contrast to the powerful distillate and ensure exceptional depth.
