Aroma The peat smoke component presents itself with medicinal accents and notes of red raspberries.
Proef Gentle with peat smoke and earthy-mossy facets, followed by hints of cremé brûllé, vanilla and almonds.

Beschrijving van het product
Longrow's Single Malt is produced at the Springbank distillery. The malt for Longrow is kilned over peat fires for 48 hours, which is twice as long as for the Springbank bottlings. The double distillation and maturation in former Bourbon and Rioja wine barrels give the smoky Batch 2 a gentle mildness with subtle fruity notes. The Longrow can easily compete with the famous Islay whiskies, although the slightly medicinal note is absent from the aroma and flavour profile. The bottling, which is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, is smoky, fruity and pleasantly warming at 57.1% vol.
