Variatie Single Malt Whisky
Aroma Strong and dense with dark dried fruit, nuts and dark chocolate meet vanilla, caramel and light oak. A malty sweetness and a clear oak spiciness summarise the aroma.
Proef Full-bodied and oily with the sweetness of sultanas, toffee and cocoa. Vanilla and creamy oak are emphasised in intensity by the cask strength, before a warming oak spice slowly takes over.
Uitgang Long and warming. Dried fruit, nuts and spicy oak slowly fade away, accompanied by vanilla and a subtle bitterness.

This 11-year-old Royal Brackla Single Malt was bottled by Signatory founder Andrew Symington and his team for the 100 proof edition with the number 67. The Single Malt Whisky matured entirely in first fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads and Bourbon barrels, resulting in a whisky with fruity sherry influences and sweet Bourbon flavours. Bottled at 57.1% vol, the minimum strength at which alcohol-soaked gunpowder can be ignited, this Royal Brackla provides a lot of Taste at a low price, without any added colour or chill-filtering. The numbering of the bottles means that the bottlings from the 100 proof series are also ideal for collecting.

    Kommentar: Eigentlich bin ich Royal Brackla Fan, aber dieser Whisky hat mich nicht gänzlich überzeugt! Deutlich zu hoch bewertet. Er tendiert eher zu drei Sternen als zu vieren. Es ist ein gefälliger Whisky mit einigen Nuancen, aber nicht deutlich vielschichtig. Ich habe schon bessere Royal Brackla von Signatory getrunken.
