Product description
The VSOP Cognac from Courvoisier comes from the Cognac region. It is produced by the house of Courvoisier, which is based in Jarnac, in the heart of the Cognac production centre. This Courvoisier bottling is based on white wines, predominantly from the Ugni Blanc grape, which are distilled twice in traditional copper stills after fermentation. The eaux-de-vie contained come from various crus, including mainly Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne. Maturation takes place in French oak barrels, some of which are made from Limousin or Tronçais oak. For a VSOP cognac, all eaux-de-vie must be matured for at least four years; the average age of Courvoisier VSOP is longer.
